things to do with yours

here you will find an ever-evolving list of activities, experiences, ideas, recipes, etc to do with your young children…gathered from our ten years of being open…and from friends far and near.

the list ranges in age from 6 months on up to 12 years old…there are activities for outdoors, and activities for in….activities for solos and activities for siblings & friends & caregivers...

also, visit our recipes page for more inspiration, in the kitchen...

enjoy!

a special note:
parents and caregivers,
please note that we began compiling this list during the recent pandemic while we were closed to help you all navigate sheltering-in with your families…we are sharing a few special ideas for shaping your time at home.

one of the most beneficial things we can recommend is self-care…and we know it seems hard to find at the moment! but, even if you rise a few minutes earlier each day, before your littles, to give yourself some needed time for quiet and reflection, it can go a long way…if possible, try also to get outside for some fresh air and cultivate something just for yourself, be it a creative project, reading a good book, getting on top of a project around the home or in the garden…it can be anything…just create something that helps
you

also,
we can not recommend more highly creating a rhythm for your family while at home…at arrow, we allow for a lot of creative exploration each day, but the children have moments everyday where they know what is coming, what follows, and that gives everyone structure within which to hold the free times…we refer to this as ‘in-breaths’ and ‘out-breaths’…a balance of both give the day rhythm.
